Octavian returned to Boiler Room for a massive set at London’s Field Day festival. The performance was as raw and energising as we’ve come to expect from the French-British rapper. This year, Field Day moves from its leafy nook in Victoria Park to take root in Meridian Water, a 10-acre site in a former gasworks in North London.
Appearing officially at Day Two of the festival, Octavian was also a surprise addition to the headline performance from Skepta on Day One. The London legend brought out Octavian as a surprise feature during a blazing set in North London.
In what’s been a busy week, Octavian also took to Instagram to announce a forthcoming new EP. Posting the cover image from his critically acclaimed 2018 EP, Spaceman, Octavian revealed new music was coming soon, saying:
“Spaceman the mixtape 2018 changed my life.
Where I am now is crazy cos in 2017 I was sleeping on the bakerloo line ( which is the most dusty line) and stealing tuna sandwiches from Tesco. Most days I didn’t eat. Now you already know… I’m achieving all my dreams. This mixtape is the raw truth of my story. The pain and the journey. My thanks to the universe. And my thanks to you.(Ps: the new mixtape soon coming in hot!)”
